SSC Grade C Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2025 Educational Qualification & Service Requirement Candidates must be regularly appointed Stenographer Grade “D” / Grade-III in the respective participating services/cadres and must fulfill the approved service criteria as on 01 July 2025. Key Eligibility Highlights (Service Wise): CSSS & Railway Board: Minimum 6 years approved service AFHQ & ECI: Minimum 3 years approved and continuous service IFS (B): As per IFS Branch “B” Rules, 2017 Deputation candidates with lien in Grade “D” are eligible Computer literacy mandatory for transcription work Eligibility is subject to service record verification, APARs, and cadre rules.

SSC Grade C Stenographer Selection Process 2025 The SSC LDCE 2025 Selection Process consists of three stages: Part-A: Computer Based Examination (200 Marks) General Awareness – 100 Marks English Language & Comprehension – 100 Marks Duration: 2 Hours Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer Part-B: Stenography Skill Test (200 Marks) Dictation: 100 w.p.m. (10 minutes) English: 40 minutes | Hindi: 55 minutes Transcription on computer only Part-C: Evaluation of Record of Service (100 Marks) APARs evaluation No post-evaluation changes allowed Final selection will be based on combined merit of all three parts.
